In the field of cross-border heavy-duty transportation equipment supply, the ability to provide products adapted to extreme environments and refined services is the core to winning customers. Targeting the special needs of a client in a country in Africa, CIMC Equilink tailored a semi-trailer tire solution. Through rigorous product selection, professional delivery guarantees, and high-quality after-sales service, the scale of cooperation has continued to expand, making CIMC Equilink a trusted core supplier for the client.
I. Project Background and Client NeedsThe client is located in a small country in Africa, where urban road conditions are extremely poor and the region has a high-temperature climate. The client is mainly engaged in heavy-duty logistics transportation of cement, ore, and other goods, and has extremely high requirements for tire durability and adaptability: the tires must meet the usage scenarios of local high-temperature climate and complex road conditions, ensure the effectiveness and stability of heavy-duty transportation, and prevent transportation operations from being restricted by equipment.
II. Project Initiation and Planning ProcessTo accurately meet the client’s needs, CIMC Equilink launched a special product selection process, collaborating with multiple high-quality domestic tire factories to conduct rigorous evaluations. We focused on examining the factories’ tire performance test data, including core indicators such as high-temperature resistance, wear resistance, and load adaptability. At the same time, we conducted strict reviews of tire raw material ratios to ensure product quality meets heavy-duty transportation standards. Finally, through multiple rounds of selection and optimization, we customized semi-trailer tires for the client that fully comply with local regulatory requirements and are adapted to high-temperature climates and complex road conditions.
As consumables, tires are prone to various types of wear during on-site heavy-duty transportation, and the client once had doubts about product quality. After receiving the client’s feedback on issues and on-site videos, we addressed cases where the client could not distinguish between tire damage such as punctures and scratches (which the client mistakenly attributed to product quality problems). We set up a professional after-sales team to answer the client’s questions one by one through practical case analysis and technical identification of damages, clearly defining the causes of wear and completely eliminating the client’s concerns about product quality. Meanwhile, we established an exclusive after-sales service follow-up mechanism to ensure that any subsequent issues encountered by the client receive timely responses and professional solutions.
IV. Delivery and Acceptance DetailsThis delivery adopted bulk carrier shipping, which faced multiple packaging and transportation requirements: a single tire weighs approximately 80 kilograms, and transporting individual tires would incur additional small parcel fees due to the volume being less than 1 cubic meter. Therefore, we determined a packaging plan of "bundling four tires together" to ensure each bundle’s volume meets the standard for waiving small parcel fees. However, the bundled weight of over 300 kilograms posed a challenge to packaging stability, as ordinary thin strapping could not prevent scattering during transportation. To address this, we collaborated with the factory to conduct multiple rounds of packaging tests, ultimately selecting wide special strapping that meets load-bearing requirements. Each bundle of tires was reinforced with 3 straps to ensure no scattering during stacking and loading/unloading. Through standardized packaging processes, all tires were neatly stacked, and port unloading and acceptance were completed smoothly.
In the early stage of cooperation, the client purchased 500 tires per month, involving only 1 model. With recognition of product quality and services, the current monthly purchase volume has increased to 1,000 tires, and the cooperative models have expanded to 3 tire tread patterns—achieving a transformation from single-model trial to multi-model stable procurement. The client clearly stated: "CIMC Equilink is our most high-quality supplier," fully affirming the adaptability of customized products and the professionalism of services, laying a solid foundation for long-term in-depth cooperation between the two parties.
