Case Analysis:

From January to March, the temperature of the destination Germany is very low. The container passes from Shanghai to the South China Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea to Hamburg, Germany. The temperature of the container will drop significantly. If the same amount of container desiccant as in summer is still used, the container will The air humidity cannot be effectively controlled, and condensation is inevitable.

According to what we know, the desiccant in these containers is calcium chloride desiccant, which is obviously not enough in winter when the conditions are relatively harsh. The top of the container and the middle of the cargo where condensation occurs are far away from the hanging position of the desiccant. When the temperature changes, the desiccant cannot control the air humidity of these parts in time and effectively. If the desiccant can be placed more evenly throughout the whole Inside the container will solve this problem.

The calcium chloride desiccant in these containers was installed and hung correctly in the sidewall grooves, but did not absorb moisture effectively. It is suspected that the cardboard placed on the inner wall of the container blocked the moisture absorption holes of the desiccant, which caused this phenomenon.

1. Increase the dosage

According to the analysis results in A above, it is considered necessary to increase the dosage of container desiccant. It is recommended to use 8 pieces of this calcium chloride desiccant for each 20 foot container during the loading time from October to March of the next year. From April to September every year (loading time), 6 pieces of this calcium chloride desiccant are used for each 20-foot container to achieve the purpose of safe transportation. The premise is to confirm that the calcium chloride desiccant can effectively absorb moisture under the existing cabinet loading method.

2. Replace the original product with a new container desiccant

Considering the results of the above case analysis, when it is uncertain whether the original calcium chloride desiccant can effectively absorb moisture under the existing container loading method, and in order to effectively control the humidity of each part of the container in a timely manner, it is recommended to use The solution of wisecargo 125g container desiccant distribution replaces the original solution of calcium chloride drying and hanging on the side wall.

3. Comparative test

Choose two containers that are shipped to the same destination at the same time, and the products require the same packaging and transport of the same goods in the containers. In one of the containers, 6 pieces of 1.4kg calcium chloride desiccant are placed on the side wall of the container, and in the other container, 32 packs of 125g new container desiccant are placed. No desiccant is placed inside the package.

Two temperature and humidity recorders are placed in the middle of the top of each container, one is fixed outside the product packaging, and the other is fixed inside the product packaging to record the temperature and humidity changes inside and outside the product packaging during the entire transportation process.
